following on from the breakfast thread
i like marmite ( although i don't love it) but i have a son who loathes the stuff and a mindee's father who won't even kiss his daughter if she so much as smells of it ( she loves it and asks for it every breakfast)

i dont eat it for breakfast but lunchtime ish its crumpets with butter marmite and grated cheese, with a cuppa mmmmmmmmmmm:D

I love it, always have done. As a child took cheese and marmite sandwiches to school for packed lunch for 9 years.
Spread it on a chunk of cheese for a quick snack :blush:
On toast with cheese for breakfast/lunch
On crispbread with low philadelphia cheese if I am being good :D
Under the cheese on cheese on toast, dipped in tomato soup yum!
DS is the same as me - likes it thick, DD likes it - but spread very thin.
How can anyone hate it :laughing:

i like mine - spread thin though. Kids like it but Brian HATES it (to the point he will hide the jar) and won't give me or the kids a kiss if we have had some.
Guess who gets slathered in marmite kisses lol

Hubby won't kiss us though till we hve brushed our teeth :D

I LOVE it, have it everyday, my husband hates it with a passion. My eldest daughter tries it sometimes and my youngest loves it and has it everyday!
Even the cat loves it :D

Yum love it, have it most days, so does DS. DH hates it with a passion.
I even have a recipe book for it, with marmite potato wedges as a favorite:D

Love it, but seems to go in phases of actually eating it, like it under cheese on toast, on crumpets, and on toast.

Can you still buy Bovril? I know it went veggie after mad cow episode but haven't seen it for ages. Great on toast the morning after a night on the booze! :laughing:

My sister inlaw had craving for marmite when she was pregnant, she use to carry a jar around with her and was continuously dipping her fingers in and licking it off ewwwwwwwwwwwwww

Dd loves it, she'll eat it from the jar, in fact she lived on it for the first 4 years of her life.

Have any of you tried the breadsticks, cashew nuts, rice cakes and cracker breads (can't remember proper name)? - I have, my favourite are the cashew nuts!!:)

OMG!:eek: you have to try it. just spread it thinly on toast or under cheese on toast. yum.
my pet hate with it tho is when you open it and the edge of the jar is covered in toast crumbs! lol.

i only like it i am definately not a love it person
mindee brings the marmite breadsticks and rice cakes, now those i cannot eat without or without marmite they are revolting
