Well this morning I had an initial meeting with a mum, dad and 10 month old....my 1st enquiry I might add! :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:

Anyway, it just went great...better than I could have ever imagined! The little girl was precious and got on so well with my daughter, between them they just played and totally demolished my playroom!

She felt at home straight away. The parents were lovely to and I was recommended to them by a mutual friend....as I have not even started minding yet this was just a character reference so they came to be mostly based on that which is wicked!

Anyway, they are coming next week for a proper "settling in session" then to start contracted hours!

We were all so busy chatting and playing that mum and dad forgot little ones shoes, so they HAVE to come back!!!!

Need to get my head around the contract now as initally they are starting 2 mornings a week then builing up to 2 days then maybe three!...how do I put that in a contract?

well done its great getting your 1st mindee. With regards to the contracts i know the NCMA ones have a section where you can write additonal notes and you could put the details there about the hours and how they will incrase.

Good luck with it all

Well done you!

You could either start with a short term contract and put the child onto a permanent one when they want more hours...

Or just write your contract to show flexible hours and days, with an update date of say 3 months in the future when it can be re-written when everyone knows what they want.

Hth :D
