ideas please

Hi i have a little one who has just started school and a two year old who started with me couple of weeks ago, need ideas on what to include in theme first day at school/childminder please.

When little ones first start with me I do some things on their family, so I get mum or dad to bring some photos of them at home with parents, grandparents, brothers and sisters or whatever. Then we make a photo album which i laminate so can carry out and about on buggy for them, a plate with picturs on it, a picture of them with name on for their box at the front door, a place mat with pics of them and mum dad etc on and then if we have any left some telescopes or something.

Yes I usually do getting to know you kinds of activity as well.

Unless of course the child comes clutching a feather or chattering on about a favourite book at school... then we'll do about that :D

Thankyou, have asked parents for photographs from home of family pets etc, and going to do just that, finding out fav toy etc etc
