Just a couple of questions:
1. I am just about to start childminding, do i have to register as a business?
2. As i am only going to be giving snacks as they will be providing lunchboxes
do i have to register as a 'domestic premises operating a food business'?

Question 1. Yes, you have to register with your local tax office
Question 2. Dont think so, but I would give your local enviromental health officer a ring just to check

1. As Ruth says, yes.

2. Depends where you live. The Eyfs says you must register, so try and see what they say. Get it in writing if they don't want you, then you are covered with Ofsted.

our local authority gave us a letter to put in our files to say we were covered with food .

I had to register as a food business...might even have to have an inspection :eek: :rolleyes:
