I would work out the contract based on 52 weeks or 12 months whichever you prefer but only do it from September to August or you are working in arrears.

i.e. £100 per day x 5 x 13 weeks = £6500 divided by 12 = £541.66 or divided by 52 = £125.00

sorry about this people its lisas partner here sorry to b awkward as we wer just having r weekly domestic about how she should work this out as i have done all this numerous times now i have used the same way of working all this out as we r being told but plz correct me if i am wrong ill give u the way i did it......

we mind 2 children and the day rate is - £22 per child.
we mind them for a total of 5 days per week. (total-£220 per week.)

we mind them only on school holidays wich is 14 weeks of the year.
i get 14 x 220 is £3080 per year.

3080 divided by weekly payments wud be 52 totaling £59.23

now the problem is that my partner knows this isnt a lot to live on but i explained that theres no other way round that unless there is more children on the books or break the payments into 30 weeks at £100 and 1 week at 80 to give us that bit more but then the prob is that she cant go without any payments for the remainder of the year any clues on how to pleaze a female thanx for any help wud be much appreciated..phil....

I can't see any other way round this really. It's a choice, lovely lump sums in the holidays or smaller weekly or monthly payments through the year.

Don't think there is any other way to work it out fairly. I do the opposite, only term-time and no retainer for the holidays, so i know that during the holidays (14 weeks) of the year i don't get paid. But it works for my familly.

The quoted figures are correct but it doesn't matter which way you do it you will only be getting one figure per year. If you want more money you need to take on more children.
