Hi all
Just wondering what you would charge for doing 4 hours a day? My rate is £3.50 an hour.
For 2 weeks she will need the care for him in the morning and the following 2 weeks she will need the care for him in the afternoon. So care will alternate every fortnight.
Thanks every one.

I have a brother and sister 5.5 hours a day, 3 times per week and I charge my going rate which is £3ph at the moment and I don't give a reduction because they are siblings.

If you are doing mornings one week and afternoons the next then rally she needs the full days available so i would charge your normal rate for the hours used and a half rate retainer on the other half a day. My hourly rate is £3 so it would be 12 pounds for the hours used and another six per day for the retainer.

I would charge for the hours worked too.
I have found that even though it might take up a space, it usually works out ok and I can work around strange hours with other mindees.

hi very difficult i think to fill the place when its alternate wks,
i would charge £3hr for hrs worked and half for 6hrs not used as they are taking the full place, and if it looks too much then add a further reduction of say £10 to look good?
i hate this part of the job:blush:
good luck x
for you it would be £21 per day, that is 4 x 3.5 and 4 x 1.75 to retain the other half of the day. I would include drinks, snacks and any outings fees in that.
