retainer fees

Hi i'm a new childminder and are about to take on a little boy for 4 mornings 8am -11.30. Should I charge for half day? Also they only need me till september till he starts school, but then they want me to have in school hols should I charge a retainer? Please help thanks vicky:(

Its your business and you can charge what you want.

I only charge for the hours they use, but I may be a bit soft. I wouldn't charge a retainer as its just the holidays and then just charge for the days they come in the holidays.
