on average what does everyone charge for;
Daily rates?
Hourly Rates?
Weekly rates?

Not sure where to pitch my rates. Now that i'm having enquiries i want to get this sorted asap.
Someone i know was charging £35 per day £6 per hour and £145 per week.
does this seem too high as so far i have my rates at £24 per day?:huh:

Your best bet is to have a look on the CIS website for your area.

I think it varies hugely through the country ... even in my town depending on where you live it can vary by £1 an hour.

Hi, I charge £3 per hour with a maximum normalyy of £24 per day so long as the hours are reasonable. I charge £95 per week (again so long as hours are within reason e.g between 8 and 6 roughly).

Rates do vary alot around the country so it is worth checking on cis - not everyone shows their rates but a lot do.

Unfortunately Carmarthenshire is not on the CIS website - it just gives a telephone number for Carmarthenshire Children's Partnership:(

The going rate here is £3 per hour. Most childminders in this area (and our group) only have an hourly rate (no daily/weekly rate).

Thanks for that.
I've got the info as they posted it to me. Most minders in my area charge anything from £3-£7 per hour. I think i'll go in the middle and charge £4

Thanks for everyones comments!:clapping:

I charge £3.50 (£3.60 in September) per hour. I used to do £32 a day but have now decided just to go with hourly fees
