I don't charge anything, I don't think it would be fair to.

I charge nothing if my services are unavailable as I feel that it isn't fair.

I wouldn't dream of charging anything as I wouldn't be able to fulfil the contract.

same as everyone else. It's not their fault you are unavailable to work, so why should we charge them and they have to pay twice as they would need to find alternative care.

Same

I feel guilty enough when I charge when they do not come if they are ill so goodness knows what they would say If I said I was charging if I was unavailable ha

Nothing if your service is not available (because the parent may then have to find paid emergency care elsewhere until you are well enough to have the child(ren) back again).
Full fees paid if the mindee is ill, or cannot come for whatever reason.

I don't charge for my sick days (not that it happens very often).
Parents pay in advance, so I adjust the invoice the following month to refund any days I've been off.

I'm not available to work so I don't charge - but I charge full fee for mindee sickness.

If I am sick I don't charge, however if my child is sick and I decide that it will not affect the care of little ones I leave the decision up to the parent and depending on the illness they decide if they still want to send their children. I have always said if they didn't come in this situation then I would still charge but to date they have always still attended.

I think it has only happened twice - once was suspected chicken pox (only 4 spots no temperature etc) and second was a bad cold and temperature under control with calpol.

When my child had a sickness bug I closed and the parents didn't pay.:littleangel:

All depends on the situation really.

As for sick pay if you are paying NI then you can claim but you have to be off for a specific length of time...i.e. can't claim for odd days but I wouldn't expect parents to pay.
