It's good to have them and to be able to show them... whether they are asked for or not depends on the inspector...

Incident records (an accident is an ouch, an incident is an oops... if you see something out and about or child witnesses another get hurt and cries or child bites another)
Record of accident elsewhere (picked up from Nursery and signed head bump letter etc)
Complaint poster displayed (new one with multicultural girls and parachute)
Planning ideas
Fire escape poster displayed (showing exits and fire alarms)
Wish list for purchases

Yes it's in my portfolio too... it sets it all out really clearly
