As the title says - recommend a place to visit with the mindees or even for your family.

South East - Blackberry Farm at East Hoathly - fabulous little place for the younger children

SouthEast - Paradise Park - Newhaven (inside the garden center) older ones would like this too

SouthEast - Drusillas Alfriston - my heart belongs to this small zoo

North East - Belsay Hall Northumberland - terrific gardens, secret walk leading to an old castle

North East - Hall Hill Farm Lanchester - smashing farm

North East Preston Park Stockton - tons to see and do cheap as well

Wicksteed park - Kettering/midlands The play area is great - you dont have to go on the rides but I use the tesco days out vouchers to get the older children wristbands and ask parents to pay only £5 - £6 parking all day

Salcey forest - http://www.forestry.gov.uk/salceyforest - midlands

I love my local, Spring Barn Farm Park - East Sussex

Maize maze in the summer, few go karts, big bouncy pillow, few farm animals, small animals, play area indoors and out, picnic area. Lots of space and beautiful, peaceful setting

Free for under 2's I think. I get myself season ticket - £39 and go as often as I like all year. Parents pay for trips or some have own season tickets

Great food too :D

I've not been there for years but my son has asked me to take him, he went for an educational visit with school two weeks ago.

Irchester Country Park has been improved a lot too, I saw pics of the play area on a friends Facebook page. I'm going to go during the May half term.

Aldenham Country park - Aldenham parkland, play area, rare breed farm.

Ooh, we went there last year when we were visiting relatives. It was great. Dd had a great time walking round Winnie the Pooh's 100 Aker wood. We played pooh sticks on the bridge too. :)

A few ideas for West Yorks:

Lotherton hall, Great play area and bird gardens. Just pay a few pound for parking.

Tropical world and Roundhay park

St Leonards farm, Esholt (can be a bit pricy if taking lots of kids)

Oakwell Hall museum & country park, Birstall near Batley. They do loads for kids in the school hols and it's all free:clapping:

Eureka! in Halifax (again, can be pricy if taking a few kids)

Royal armouries in Leeds, Free entry and they do more for kids in school hols.
