Aren't you supposed to only buy new for car seats, not secondhand?

You can get really reasonably priced ones if you look about or do you have a friend who's got one to sell as you would then know for sure that the car seat hadn't been in an accident and was safe?

I was gonig to say the same as Spangles.

Halfords have the Britax one in the sale really cheap and if your a member of NCMA you can get a discount too, you can't get it in store though so you have to go to store to get it checked in the car and then call the number in the NCMA handbook and order it to get your discount.

If its for a new mindee you could take a deposit to use against their last invoice and use the money from that to get a new one.

I bought one a few months ago -think it's called Britax Prince Robbie -managed to get it for £50 from Halfords in the sale including NCMA discount. Would defo go for a new one if you can unless you know the history of it -it's think that an extra £30 is worth paying:panic: when you're talking about possibly saving a childs life!

If you can stretch to £34.99 you could get this one in Argos:

http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3753646/c_1/1%7Ccategory_root%7CNursery%7C14417537/c_2/2%7Ccat_14417537%7CCar+and+booster+seats%7C1441757 2/c_3/3%7Ccat_14417572%7CCar+seats%7C14417573.htm

It can be used rear ward for up to 9 months approx and then turned rounf and used forward facing til they are 4 yrs approx.

If I need another seat I am going to get this one so I can use it if I take on a young baby but also an older toddler too.
