I used it for my new mindee and have found it very useful, it allowed me to plan for the child's interests throughout the settling in sessions and Mum stated she enjoyed filling it out and writing about her child.

Am I right in thinking that the early years passport is what we fill in about the child before they start with us? As an alternative about me booklet?

What are the pros and cons of the Passport and the About Me format? I am about to become a registered childminder and I am trying to sort out my paperwork and decide which route to go. Any comments would be appreciated.

I use it as well and then adapted it to create another version for children who are older so I still get some feedback from parents before a child starts with me.

I think its great.
