I found something about this in my Book About Easter at the beginning of last week and am going to make one this week. It is a tradition in Germany and Austria (and some other Eastern European countries) to blow eggs so they are hollow, decorate and then hang on a tree (well branch). This will cover KUW - how Easter is celebrated in other countries.

Here are some links to different variations on the theme:

http://www.potterybarnkids.com/products/eg210/index.cfm?pkey=gthmocceas (not strictly a craft site, but you get the idea of the tree - and if ever you are bored, look round this site - they have some GORGEOUS things - I get the catalogue sent to my Dads in America)

I got a couple of packs of 6 plastic egss and paint from the 99p stores the other day, so I will use those. Hobby Craft also do polystyrene eggs if you dont fancy the mess of real eggs.

I am thinking it could be a project spread over a few days ie painting and leaving to dry, assembling etc. It might also be worth looking around for easter crafts that are reduced - some were in Sainsburys yesterday.

Enjoy!!!
