Im struggling a bit on activities to do, the ages i may/have are 4yrs 5yrs and 8 yrs
so far ive got make a weather clock
a collage, hot and cold weather
And making large raindrops and fingerprinting them blue/grey

Anyone else got any other ideas?

you can measure how much rain has fallen on a certain day or over night...

take a plastic bottle and cut the top off
this will be your container to catch the rain

then you can use a wooden spoon and take a pen and make markings on it for cms or inches
the spoon bit could also be decorated...faces or something..get mindees to do that activity too!

then once some rain has collected get the kids to dip the spoon into the bottle and measure (counting!!) how much rain has fallen

We did weather theme after Xmas - found for the younger ones brilliant web games on CBeebies site - Balamory interactive game and Boogie Beebies choose the right clothing for the weather. - also how about making a wind sock or kite. Have fun

here is a "baromether" (is it the right name) , i did it with snails because we have got a lot of nursery rhyms with snails

Talk about how the weather affects what we wear, how we have to use sun cream, shades and hats in hot weather, mittens hat and gloves etc in cold weather, umberallas and wellies in rainy weather, high visability clothing when it's foggy. This would come under self care for PSE.
