Hi,

well as of sunday I'm stopping smoking ready to start childminding , know you don't have to but if I have to be smoke free 9 hrs a day may as well give up so please please wish me luck lol xx

Take all the help you can get to start you off.. patches, smoky thing, gum, tablets... just until the worst of it is over.

I stopped smoking 12 years ago after smoking 30 a day for 35 years ugh! I found that I needed a very good reason other than health, money etc., and I took 10 minutes at a time for the first 2 weeks. Each time iI craved a fag I told myself to wait another 10 minutes and so on.

I also found it helpful to be around smokers and enjoyed the whiff of their fags lol.

I still have my occasional smoke when i am drinking at a party:panic: :( :(

good luck!! My friend quit recently an she took up knitting because it kept her hands busy. Try all the normal patches and gum aswell. iT WORKED FOR HER.:laughing:
