If you do your tax on line do they send you a reminder or do you just have to do it yourself?

You will get the paperwork as normal and it is up to you how your submit it but you don't have to wait for it to submit it online

You get a letter with the dealine on and a number to call if you want a paper version to do.

They always remind you, don't forget if it's your first time you need to have gateway access, this means registering to use the Self assessment site, they then send you a number. It does not take long but it is posted so don't leave it to the deadline.
