How long you you not taking child if is sick? 24 hour or 48hours?

Is 48 hours for S&D compulsory? I may have to change my policy because I've only put 24 hours.

Not sure if its compulsary but thats what it is in schools here so thats what Im going too.

I've sent DD back after 24 hours before, perhaps I've breached their policy eek. I ask around locally and see what's what.
