I'm writting the above policy and state: I give all children in my care the opportunity to reach their full potential and adapt activities to the child's ability, stages of development and giving additional support blahh.blahh.
And i go on to say i won't discriminate against diff skin colour, culture, gender, abilities (SN) and challenge stereotypical ideas on gender.

But Equality of Opportunities does it ONLY cover SN children OR does it cover the above as well?
Do i need to do 2 policies?:panic:

Mine has 3 sections -

Equality of opportunity

Disability

Multiculturalism.

I've said the overview stuff in the equalty of opportunity section then talked about the others specifically.

Some schools of thought say have more than one policy but my thinking is that since policies aren't even statutory any more, I might as well cut down a bit.

Hope this helps :D

I have an equality style policy and a special educational needs one, I think you either way is fine as long as you cover everything
