Hi all, :)

Well as the title suggests I've got my pre reg visit tomorrow, Ofsted inspector is coming in the afternoon. I'm spending the day going over everything to try and get in fixed in my head. Any tips?

Just don't panic - the inspector is there to help and advise you

Good luck but I'm sure you'll be fine :)

Relax, be yourself...your inspector is only human!

The questions they ask are all pretty much common sense and if you don't know the answer just be honest, you're not expected to know everything at this stage.

Good luck and let us know how you get on:thumbsup:

ah..... and breathe  Strangely enough I'm not too nervous. Hubby's taken 2 DD to Pizza Hut to give me a bit of space, bless him he'll probably come back really stressed and in need of a cup of coffee.

Thought of a question, do I need all policies and procedures printed off for her to look at?

i was very nervous but it was fine, they only really want to know your capable and know whats expected, i never knew a few things but the lady i had talked me through it and that was fine

she didn't even look at all my policies justa quick glance and a few questions

The inspector has been and gone, she was here just over 2 hours and was really nice. :)

In the end I wrote down which policies I have rather than print them all off. Inspector was fine with this, although she recommended I have an uncollected child policy. She really liked my emotion puppets from NES Arnold.

I'm going to be registered for 4 minded children in addition to my own. There are conditions on it relating to my daughter who starts school in September (age 4), DD will be classed as 5 and I'll be able to have 3 under 5's.

Only waiting on CRBs and Health form now. :clapping:

I hoping the CRB doesn't take too long because I was checked last summer. 5 1/2 weeks until 1st April, can it be done?
