Have just joined so hello to every body
think I am a thick childminder. help on planning, when I have been to sessions on EYFS which still dont understand all I get told is that its "CHILD LEAD" if its child lead, I am supposed to let the child do what they want if this is the case how am i supposed to plan.Think advice needed please. :panic:

Hi Sue, welcome to the forum.
You need to observe the children see what they like doing and then plan from that. For instance I had a boy who started and would play with nothing but cars so from this I have planned to get out the toy garage and some car mats. Then I can take this further by doing painting using cars, making track marks.

I agree with above. Try to make your planning simple and perhaps jot a few options down so that the child can perhaps choose which activity they want to do - then its definitely child lead and you have planned too!

By the way sorry i should have said - welcome to the forum:thumbsup: & i am sure you are definitely NOT thick - some advisers are not always very clear
