Hubby has finally relented and is considering becoming my assistant.

I know he needs to do First Aid and possibly new CRB.

But do I actually have to employ him? Or can I just make out I dont pay him and we both share my money, iyswim? IE all goes in the joint account. I cant be doing with having to pay someone elses tax etc - I have enough paper work?

It will only be every now and then and possibly mostly in holidays as I have 3 that are holidays only.

Also, he also wants to be sure that he wont be inspected, which I reassured him he wont. But am I right in also assuming that he doesnt even have to be present when I have my inspection, unless numbers required him to be there on the day?

Thanks

He can be a volunteer and not be paid - the way I like it!

You still need you employers insurance, even for a volunteer

No courses or inspections for him apart from first aid if you want to leave him with the children

Forgot to say that there is a lot of information on assistants - just type in Assistants into the search section above
