Do you pay it or have you declared that you won't earn enough?

I have an exemption thing due to not earning enough from being self employed. I have done this because I also have an office job and I pay it through that and there is no reason to pay it twice.

I pay it when I pay my tax bill, this is Class4 I think and is a % of the tax you pay and I get a quartly bill for £27and a bit to pay as well.

I have an exemption as I am only earning £33 before tax at the moment and Have a part-time job where I pay tax.

Before I moved I paid monthly voluntary contributions which meant I got Maternity Allowance and stuff like that:)

So basically is it if you don't already have another job you should pay it? I'm not planning on having any more children and I don't want to get sick :)

I would pay it if its the one NIC's that you would pay.
