Hi everyone

I was just wondering if anyone else does their payment receipts by email, or do they have to be signed?

Thanks

What do you mean by payment receipts?

My parents all receive a bill and I do not issue receipts. They all pay into the bank too.

It is good practice to give all families a reciept.
I have a reciept book for each family, it is like a cheque book so I have a record on the stub as well.
I keep them all in a small concertina style folder.
All my parents sign their own page in my NCMA accounts each month, this confirms what they have paid me in case the tax man wants a look.

Several of my families pay with vouchers and I get an email from the companies each month confirming payment.

If you invoice your parents by email be aware you are then keeping sensitive info about them on your computer.
You will have to register with the Data Protection Registrar and this costs approx £35 a years.

This is why I dont keep any personal records on my computer.

I agree with the above post and found out the data protection act bit when i was looking into doing invoices that way, i now just do it on paper in a duplicate book and issue receipts for my records and so i know who has paid etc!
