Do you write to them to advise that your childminding? I think I heard somewhere I do but cant remember! Also did you all inform your mortgage company?

It is best to tell them as I know that some home and contents insurance companies will not cover you for accidental damage if you are a childminder:(

Yes mine know what I do and I had to get a new insurance company as tehy wouldn't cover me for accidental damage.

I am now with Morton Michel, the same ones who insure me for being a childminder.

I would always advise you shop around but make sure you ask the accident question :D
