Got a letter from my local NCMA office and in it included a list of points that Ofsted have highlighted from inspections over the last 6 months:-

I have scanned the letter in but have tried to attach it all day and can't so have listed them below:-

- Develop knowledge of complaints procedure
- Permissions for medication
- Undertake risk assessment
- Undertake planning for children
- Increase knowledge of child protection procedures
- Record accidents
- Update policies
- Expand resources to promote cultural diversity / people with disabilities
- Improve hand-washing practices
- Practice evacuation
- Extend knowledge of child development
- Carry first aid equipment and records whilst on outings
- Up to date first aid as required
- Implement a system where children have access to own drinks
- Ensure consent is obtained to use sun cream
- Expand children's developmental records
- Ensure information in Service Statement is correct
- Give children opportunities to make independent choices about toys
- Observe assess and plan for children
- Develop healthy eating policy
- Ensure paperwork for parents is up to date
- Ensure Ofsted are informed of relevant events including Safeguarding
- Fit a smoke detector
- Develop methods for managing behaviour
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness
