Hi can anyone help with an activity idea for 2 year old for each area using transport please?

trains

Psed - draw a train track together on a big piece of paper, sharing the space / crayons etc and taking turns;

Cll - read one of the Thomas books;

Psr&n - count how many trains you have in your box / how many trees you have drawn on the track (while they weren't looking); use lots of positional language while playing with the trains - back, forward, under, over, through, left, right etc;

Kuw - if you have those trains with magnets, do some experiments. Hold magnets near metal (find metal first) and see if they attract or repel. Use appropriate vocab and explain why it is happening;

Pd - talk about train track safety and look at some of the resources from Trackoff together;

Cd - bit boring to colour some printed trains... how about spotting colours on trains or making them with boxes and cardboard circles - split pins are useful if you want the wheels to go round.

use an old cereal pckt, cut out a big bus

draw on the windows with marker pen

let him/her paint the bus, when it dry stick pictures of people (cut out of magasines) in the window (you only need to cut the top half of the people
out as you cannot see their legs


we have had many famous faces on our buses....Brad Pitt, Kylie, Matt Damon,Angelina and so on.................the cast of your favourite soap

or if you have childrens comics you can add the night garden gang or fimbles
anything !
