When I had a Network Co-ordinator come visit me early this month, I mentioned about how often to do Themes and she told me that I didn't have to. Why do a theme if the children aren't interested. Of course, if there is something that interests the children then great but otherwise - no need.
Does this sound right?

Does this sound right?

Apparently Ofsted don't like the word 'theme'...but they do like planning, so i basically 'plan' a theme but then go with the childrens ideas and if they suggest a different way of doing it i go with that, that way you are covering everything they request of you. If you also write down on your planning what happened or a review at the end ie, stating "S suggested we did it like this" and maybe include photos too...
