According to Ofsted everyone went back in the pot on 1st September so you could have your inspection anytime from then onwards regardless of when you were last inspected.

Makes perfect sense doesn't it?

Mine was due Sept, still no sign. In my area they seem to be doing new minders and complaints at the moment. It just means we have to keep all the paperwork and house etc... spotless!!! Getting very tired, roll on Christmas, I need a break(mother in law permiting).

In my area I think they are giving priority to the new registrations and pre registrations and then working from satisfactory, to sat/good to good and good/outstanding and then outstanding.

Mine was due in Sept so I am looking at Feb/March I think (on hols in Feb).

A friend was due in August and hers is anytime - Ofsted got to call again with dates.

You just don't know when they will turn up.

Just been reading some guidance because i wasnt due one until feb but they coming on wednesday  . It says that due to new EYFS stuff newly registered childminders will be inspected asap and it maynot be 6mths like they were told. So old childminders may get away with waiting because of this :) dunno if thats a good or bad thing, i think every area is different though.

We've been told at our network meetings that Ofsted started a new inspection cycle in September 08 and everyone's name went back in the "pot" so anyone could get their inspection at any time regardless of when they were last inspected.

Think it depends on the area you live in and the grade you got last time, i had mine 2nd of Dec and was about 3 weeks early, but only got satisfactory last time so thats prob why i had it early.
