Do I need permission?

I'm not sure whether I need parental permission for this one or not. We're off to the Xmas party at mums and tots the week after next - we usually go every Wed. Food is being served at the party (being provided by the Sergeant's Mess - so cooked by profesionals) but do I need to get parent's written permission to say that they allow M to have food at the party or can I just ask parents and that be enough or do I even need permission?

I ask because I've just had to give my permission for my daughter for the Rainbow's Xmas party.

For something like that I tell them we are going and ask them to speak to me if they have any problems.

tell the parents of your plans and if they have a problem they should say
