Hi there,

I am going to be making the raindeer food this afternoon with the children and just wondered if anyone had a nice ryme/poem we could put on the tags around the bags. The children would like to make some for their friend etc.

I have just made some of this for our childminding group party on saturday. This is the poem i used:

On Christmas Eve sprinkle this on your garden. The sparkly bits and glitter shine in the dark so I know to stop at your house and the oats feed my reindeer when I am delivering your presents.

Love Santa xx

hope that helps xx

Oats in a bag. Some people use glitter but birds can choke on them so I'm trying out coloured sugar

Last year we made little pouches of celephane filled with the mixture and it was a bit fiddly so this year i have got some small sandwhich brown paper bags that we are decorating. Photos to follow!

'on christmas eve before you sleep,
sprinkle outside but do not peep!
santa's reindeer fly and roam
this will guide them to your home'

WHat can i put the reindeer food in, i used baby food jars last year and little clip seal bags the year before, this year i seem to be very unorganised and have nothing to hand to put it in or that i can get easily. Any ideas, please!!

Here is another poem:

Inside this special package is a treat but not for you!
It contains magical reindeer food and here is what you do.
Sprinkle this magic reindeer food carefully on the ground
And tonight if you are lucky Santa's reindeer will come around.
But here is a secret I have to tell, one you must try to keep
That Santa's reindeer only come when you are fast asleep.
So quickly put your jammies on and get a story read
Then sprinkle this magic treat outside and hurry off to bed!

Was in lakeland the other day and they had some lovely cellaphane Xmas bags but clear plastic bags with some lovely Xmas ribbon would look good
