Hello

I am confused (hmmm nothing new there:blush: )

Do I need to ask for a form to be registered on childcare register or do I need to write to someone? Do I have to go on this register and, if so, I need to change my policy (complaints one in particular) because of the differences between that register and EYFS

Crikey, if you make sense of that , well done

Thanks, I am in panic mode as inspection monday!

You will probably be on 3 registers...

For children aged 0 – 5 years you will be inspected on the Early Years Register

For children aged 5 – 7 years you will be expected to show you are complying with the regulations contained in the Compulsory Childcare Register

For children aged 8 ¬plus, you will be expected to show you are complying with the regulations contained in the Voluntary Childcare Register

To check go to www.ofsted.gov.uk and put your registered number into the search box. When your details come up it will tell you - in purple - which registers you are on..

Yes you need to reflect the differences between what the registers say in your paperwork, especially complaints.

Hth :D

Hi Sarah

What reference as all I have is an EY number and that does not work!

Do I need to register before my pre-reg inspection?

If your EY number doesn't work then it must because you're not officially registered yet.

I imagine like the rest of us, you will automatically go on all 3 registers.

It will be up to you to say if you don't want to be there.
