Find something to do with your hands Marlene... so long as it's not eating!!! That's the tough bit I think!

Good luck x :D

well done marlene, this will be the best decision of your life, good luck and we're here for when you have a craving (we'll tell you not to lol).

Keeping your hands busy will really help, do you have a hobby? or like jigsaws?

4 days is over the worst Marlene - the tar is already starting to move out of your lungs and the craving for nicotene is getting less... you'll probably get a cough soon as all the muck starts to surface... it's a good thing and you should encourage it, not use cough mixture to push it all back down again...

Keep going! Good vibes being sent your way x :D

Best of luck hang in there you can do it.
I gave up 6yrs in Feb I tried everything patches gum etc finally asked GP for ZIBAN really worked never looked back.I am very anti smoking now I hate it.
Best to keep yourself busy.I put on 2 stone though which is the worst part trying to get weight of.

Good Luck!!!

I gave up smoking 4 times in the past. 3 of those times were whilst I was pregnant, don't know if that counts! And the other time for just over a year.

I am also seriously considering giving up now, it's so disgusting.

The hardest part is keeping busy and breaking the habit of smoking whilst on the phone, drinking tea etc...

If you really want this and it's for you then I reckon you'll do it.

Check you out!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! :clapping: Stick at it, I've recently stopped and finding it difficult but resisting temptation! My partner smokes, that doesn't help.

sounds like you've hit a slump! just remind yourself of why you want to give up. tell yourself you can do it and you will. each time you fight - you're a step closer to being craving free!!!

good luck hun!!!

Well done Marlene....hang on in there, you can do it!!!!!!!

I gave up just over six years ago, I just bought chewing gum to keep at hand for when I had any weak moments....keeping busy is a big help too.

Keep us updated, good luck.:clapping:

I gave up 6 months ago, having smoked a packet a week for 30 years. I only used to smoke in the evenings never during the day.
I just used will power and still get the cravings especially when I have a glass of wine in my hand!
It is getting easier as the weeks go by and if I can do it anyone can, you just have to stick at it.
