Could you compile a wish list of items you have seen online. Write the item, price and when you hope to get them then add date when you do. Not as good as having them but shows you are on the case.

You could possibly get them for Wednesday if you order now, they will poss dispatch Monday??

Are you part of a network? Our network has so many resources that they lend out, maybe you could try this?

Little people school bus has a wheelchair - I got mine from Argos.

Balamory books etc are good (Penny Pocket)

I have some books from that show different abilitied people - Mama Zooms is a well regarded one, I also have "All Kinds of Bodies" by Emma Brownjohn.

Posters that you print off the web showing different abilited people and sign language poster - laminate and put up

ELC Happyland shows different races etc

That is the stuff I have and my ofsted inspector didn't even worry once she knew I had this.

Do you know any other childminders you could borrow items from or do you have a toy library near you?

If not then the wish list idea is a good one.

Hope your inspection goes well

thanks everyone, i didnt even think of argos!!!

i went to my toy library last week but they has already lent out there box to bits to a playgroup for 2 weeks....:(

i have the balamory book with penny and i got a poster up in the book area, i also got a little figure thats wearing glasses. didnt think it would be enough tho.

i get down to argos this afternoon.:)

like the idea of doing the wish list to, at least she will see im planning to get some. things just cost so much money, ive been getting lots of multi-cultural bits and new books and outdoor toys like tents and tunnels, disability was next on the list.

thanks everyone, thats all really helped.
