have you looked at sparklebox ? I don't know what they have for halloween as I don't celebrate it either but they are usually very good.

I've only touched on it slightly, children are too young really. We made paperplate pumpkins, with orange paint with lentils in it for texture and then cut out the eyes and jagged mouth from black felt and stuck it on.

Probably not much help!!

I am not that crafty myself but I do use a lot of sites for ideas

Last year we made hand prints out of green orange and black and then made then into a wreath and you could put a photo of the child in the centre

We printed off a pumpkin, cut it up, coloured it and stuck is together again on a separate sheet and it looked 3D.

Have a trawl aound the web and you will come up with loads - don't forget to bookmark them for next year!

This year i'm having a little halloween party, I thought in the day we could make orrible jelly, monster cakes and carve pumpkins, then we will dress up in fancy dress and have a boogie!

Hope it all goes to plan!

My planning is based around the young children so pumpkin/cat paper plate masks, Pumpkin collage ( lots of orange colours cut into shapes for them to stick onto a pumpkin shape paper) and the carving of a pumpkin...well scooping the inside out and playing with it

I'm getting excited. Having our normal halloween party this year. Had one for the last 3 years now, & buy bits every year, so got loads of stuff up in the loft to decorate the conservatory out.

Thurs will make bits for the party, and Fri during half term will have a party. Costumes, 'scary food', and a great big choc cake of course!!!

We made chalk ghost pics last year. Black card, & white chalk. Also made things out of salt doh - ghosts etc

Kids love it, then we go trick or treating in the eve (after mindees have gone home this year!) Last year took the whole party (in 2 groups of 6), and it took about an hour & a half to do my road!

So tired - but lots of fun!

I have bought some craft things from yellow moon online. Saves me thinking up good ideas, cos I am not very good at it.

We have been making Halloween pumpkins today. We used paper plates and stuck black eyes, noses & mouths on from cut out black card. Then we scrunched up loads of orange tissue paper and stuck it on.
We did witches faces too & added the faces and hats using card & glued on green tissue for the faces. Easy activity and the kids loved it.
