Hi,
Does anyone know if it is compulsory to attend eyfs training. If not would anyone recommend it.

I dont think it's compulsary but if you get the chance then I would go on it. Training around here has been quite lacking :rolleyes:

It wasn't compulsary in my area but I still attended the two workshops.
Quite honestly I've learned more from this wonderful website than on my courses but I think it's best to do them if only to reinforce that you're doing everything properly.

In Cheshire they are saying if you don't go you can't join the network / access other training.
I finally did the intro to eyfs course yesterday, we did it in house which was fab but I have to say I learned very very little:rolleyes:

around here they are very hot on you doing them but I don't think they are compulsory but I also don't think Ofsted will look kindly if you haven't atteneded them.
I would do them as it looks good on your training record and just hope they are better than the ones our CI~S have been delivering (my last one tonight hoorah boredom begins soon for two hours)
