I am being picked up next Wednesday and taken to the local Childminding Group meeting:). Hopefully everyone will be as friendly as they are on here (not sure that's possible though). I have been invited before but as my registration was dragging on and on I began to believe that I would never be a minder again, so have never been. I did go to the groups children's Christmas party last year, but it was soooooo hectic I never got to meet anybody properly.

I could not do my job without my friends in our local childminding group. We socialise, plan activities for the children, support each other, meet up at the park, have lunch, visit each other so the children can play, eat cakes & drink coffee - we even have a good cry sometimes! Basically it just makes the job easier as you have people who understand. We share ideas, help each other out & enjoy a laugh.

You will have a great time!

I'm sure they will all make you feel welcome. Do you have a support childminder? I went along to the toddler groups with my support childminder and she introduced me to everyone. I have been going along with her most days even though I have no children to look after yet. Its been well worth it though as I have got to know some of the others who have made me feel very welcome.

Good luck hun
