Morning All

OFSTED rang yesturday teatime,:panic: she is coming wed afternoon, I havent finished my SEF, I feel i'v only got half my paper work ready, :panic: (although I may get it done today if I stay up all night)

Really panicking its my first one...dont know what to expect.

What are starting points? Is that when the child first starts with you and you have observered the pont they are at?

Any tips, or advice will be very comforting!

You'll be fine - keep calm

Even if you haven't got things written down you can still talk about what you are doing/going to do etc as long as you have the mandatory paperwork you will be OK

Good luck and let us know how you get on

Good luck for tomoz. As long as you got the essential paper work like parent contact details, contracts, signed permissions forms etc, you can talk about the rest and say what you are planning on doing once you have got your head around the EYFS as it only started last month and you do it all anyway, its just putting it on paper that takes the time and you have to find something that suits you and the families you work with. I think a lot of chilminders havnt yet completed their SEF and Ofsted should be ok with this and the fact you ahve started it is a bonus to them

All the best
