hi, even though ive no idea when ill be starting minding due to being pregnant again im doing my icp course so want to get everything in order so that when ive done the exam in janurary i can forget about it all till after the baby is born.

We are currently working on our portfolios to show parents when they visit and i am just wondering if anyone whould share with me a list of what they have in theirs and an idea of what order to put them in.

Also does anyone know what would happen about my 1st inspection if im not minding yet?

any advise or help would be great

I have a folder which includes:

References from parents and pictures/cards from the children
My certificate
My insurance
Any course certificates that I have
All policies

In another folder I have my Risk Assessments

In another folder I have my planning and scrapbooks

That's about it

Do you display copies of your certificate and insurance then ?
I never thought of putting them in my portfolio as well as on the wall.

I also have seperate folders for course certificates , policies , planning and risk assesments.

It is an Ofsted requirement that they are displayed on the wall so I put a copy on the wall and the original in my folder

Is it not the original that has to be on the wall?

I have a folder that has:

Welcome - a bit about me, my family and background info.
101 ways to priase a child
Photocopies of: Driving licence, insurance, public liability insurnace doc, CRB doc,
Copies of certificates of all course, i.e. first aid, ICP etc
Blank copy of contract, child record
Questionnaires that parents have completed
My Ofsted Inspection report
Parent Information document which has all details about my services, what I charge, registration details, contract negotiation all policies
Photos of activites etc

This is all in one folder and contains absolutely everything that the parent would need to see, I may have missed a few things out from this list but basically it is all there.
