NCMA Contracts Only??

Hi Everyone!
I just read somewhere here that you can only use NCMA contracts?? How about ones that you make yourself, that are practically the same?? Can you use those?? Thanks. Laura

you have to use them if you are covered by them for insurance purposes otherwise you can use anything.x

If you are insured with NCMA you have to buy all their stuff. If you are with Mm then you can make up your own. If you needed to use your insurance and you haven't used the right contract you'll be in a pickle

Wow! I didn't know, thanks! Can I make copies of the ncma contracts or do they have to be original?
Another question that i have...
I am an emergency childminder which means i work 24/7 all year, but in some cases the parent only needs me 1 day or 1 week....i make them fill in ALL the paperwork...is their any way i can have a 1 day or 1 week contract written up?? Thanks, laura

I thought I was right saying that as I told a local cm the other day if insured by ncma you have to use there contracts and she was adamant she didn't.

i'm afraid when she needs their legal advice re: contracts etc then it might be too late when she finds out she isn't covered. Why not have a gentle word that perhaps if she doesnt believe you then she could call ncma?

You can't copy NCMA contracts as they are copy righted, you can make one very similar though - nothing to stop you :p

everything has to be original as i found out few days ago. I have paid NCMA insurance for 7 years which has been void because i use my own, which are pretty much copies of ncma paper work
