Do we have to display our public liability? I didn't think we had too but on my friends inspection the inspector seemed to think we should (but couldn't find any directive saying so - as my friend asked her to show her where it says so).
Mine is kept in my folder that I show parents.

You have to display your Ofsted certificate...

providers must display their certificate of registration and show it to parents on request

http://www.standards.dfes.gov.uk/eyfs/site/requirements/welfare/documentation/index.htm

The original Eyfs did state you also had to put up your insurance certificate, but...

changes to p35 - Specific legal requirements, final sentence, the words and display have been deleted. It is sufficient for providers to have public liability insurance. They may choose to display it if they wish

http://www.teachernet.gov.uk/docbank/index.cfm?id=12631

Mine is displayed.

Hth :D

I'm quite proud of my first aid certificate... it means I sat through 12 hours of blood and guts and gore...

So mine's up too!

I only display my registration certificate everyday but I have to be honest and when I knew I was going to be inspected I had them all on display! I will do the same again if I have notice of an inspection. I refuse to have all of them on display all of the time because it's my home and not a nursery

Well Ofsted finally came back and said that it was just the Certificate to be displayed, even if I have given my parents a copy. Mine is now up at 7.15am and down at 6pm. What a waste of time.
