If a child doesn't attend for a week but is still on role does the parent still need to sign the register? I have my inspection today (i think) and wondered whether the parent has to confirm that there child didn't attend?

I don't get parents to sign my register at all but I do keep a note in my diary if a child is on holiday or not attending due to illness or an appointment.
Good luck with your inspection

My register shows a line through where children haven't attended and times when they have.
I get parents to sign every month when they pay me... it's like a receipt then. :D

I put holiday or sick on my register when the kiddies dont attend
i get my parents to sign when they have paid me, as sarah says it like a
receipt, :)

But mine pay monthly and the register needs signing weekly. I have shown explainations as to why they haven't attended though so I hope that will do.
Many thanks

Mine have to sign every week regardless of whether they were here or not - exceptions being 6 weeks school holiday when they just sign along the whole page once.
I have got really good at getting it signed as well - I used to forget for weeks on end.
One day I will be totally orgianised.
