Hi all,

The parent of my mindee is going to be reducing childcare hours & i'm not sure if i need to write up a new contract or can i just adapt the old contract writing in new hours? Can anyone tell me the answer please?

Thank you x

I think that's up to you.

A couple of families I had changed only their hours and I just typed up a letter with the details, referrring to the part of the contract it affected, the start date of change, got parent to sign and attached a copy to the contract.

I'm a bit mean with contracts as they're quite expensive to buy - or maybe I'm just tight!?

I dropped a day on the contract and just wrote it on the contract and both me and mum signed the contract and dated it, also referenced to the signed letter she gave me re reducing hours. Agree with Lorri think contracts (NCMA I use) are quite expensive.

Thanks for replies, i shall just amend exsisting contract then & get parent to sign & date. Do i have to ask parent to put it in writing about change of hours? x
