Hi,

Does anyone know what the average hourly rate is in the Essex/Hertfordshire area (im in Harlow)? and before or/and afterschool care?

Also is doing a fixed full day discounted rate a good idea??

Have a look on your local CIS website - some minders put their rates on the site. Also give CIS a call they should be able to tell you the going rates in the area - failing that ring round a few minders - be honest and say you are just reg'g and didn't want to undercut anyone or outprice yourself. You should be able to make a few friends as well.

Ask at your ICP course, your support minder (if you have one), at any network meetings and/or drop ins available.:D
