Hi just thought Id share!!

a friend made these so I thought Id try to make it myself (well I will do at some point this weekend. will let you know how I get on!)

well i thought id have a go this eve. its not great but not bad for the 1st attempt. ive put a tourch behind it to see if it helped all to see.

Emmadines, how long did your lava lamp last? Did the salt melt eventually or quickly? I just love this idea so much, I want to have a go at my drop-in group! Looks like it's back to saving squash bottles again!:laughing:

What sort of theme should I tie it in with? Maybe a Wacky Experiments theme.

we did this at our local sure start activity day once and we usec water, oil and an alka seltzer (broken into bits) with a few drops of 2 different food colourings, was alright but not brilliant. if the kids used darker colourings it didnt really work
