Today's gripe - muddy wellies.
Do you clean wellies before you send them home (if they got muddy at yours)?
Sometimes I do, but to be honest, I find it hard to get the time because of where our outdoor tap is. I don't know if it is rude to send them home muddy if they came in clean though...
Then I have it the other way round too, when I get filthy boots sent in which didn't get muddy at mine. The sweet side of me wants to just be happy that at least the children are going out into nature at the weekends with their parents, but it does mildly irritate me too, as some of that mud will inevitably end up in my house on my floor. One arrived in their muddy wellies today and stepped inside, getting mud all over my indoor doormat.
It's probably just one of those things we have to grin and bear.
