How has it got to the middle of May?

I'm sure it's still only the start of the year!

DD had her first A level exam last week, and DS is about to finish his 3rd year at Uni... so next year, we'll have both our children living away from home at Uni. Eeek! I'm not old enough!

How is everyone doing? I spent last week doing lots of foraging and then cooking with the minded children. (Chopped wild garlic with a splash of olive oil, salt and pepper mixed with soft/cream cheese .... oh my! Incredible and tastes even better the next day!) This week we're just pottering around, but did spend today at the beach. Blissful.

Anyone doing anything exciting?

I know it's crazy how the the year is going! Life has been pretty busy as it's that time when I have to update mandatory training so last weekend was First Aid, have also had to do some safeguarding stuff which our local LA due to offering funding. When I first did funding it was pretty straight forward but now we have extras to do and they have already said about checking policies for the upcoming academic year!

We have been out in the garden quite a bit this week, its nice as the weather is just right. I keep seeing about wild garlic, we were out walking the other day and I was pretty sure that was what was growing everywhere but wasn't 100% sure.

Only one more week then a week off, DH and I are away for a few days for our anniversary.

I was just saying the other day that new years eve seems like last week!

My mindees seem to have really matured over the last few weeks and will all play together for ages. It's so wonderful to see, as they were quite a challenging bunch a couple of years ago. Typically, they will be moving on in September to nurseries and school. In the meantime though, we are having lovely days in the garden and out and about.

The wild garlic recipe sounds delicious. I also saw some the other day (I think), but I'm too nervous to try it, just in case it's a deadly plant which just happens to look and smell like garlic.

Pixie, the three years for our first aid comes around quickly doesn't it!
