Morning all. :clapping:

I'm way over excited this morning .... I'm finally, after 19 mths, going back to volunteer in school! The class teacher was so excited when she told me on Friday that volunteers were allowed back ... subject to lateral flows etc.

It's going to be odd ... the children in this class ... I last saw them as the nursery class :eeeek:

I hope everyone else has exciting and happy days:D

That’s good news for you Loocyloo. I don’t think the volunteers are back in at our local primary school yet due to the rise in cases.
I hope you enjoy yourself.

Happy Monday everyone!

That's great news, Loocyloo. I used to love helping out at the infant school. My first job on a Monday morning was to sharpen all the coloured pencils while the children were in assembly

One of the children has changed their hours, so I've now got a late start on a Monday morning. I was tempted to get up a bit later, but got out of bed at my normal time and have used the time productively. I've sorted the freezer, prepped the veg for dinner tonight and got a couple of loads of washing done. I finish early on a Monday as well, so it means I can sit with a cup of coffee when they've gone home, knowing that I haven't got so many chores to do :D

Today we're going for a walk to the library to collect some books I ordered. I'm not sure what we're getting, but I asked if we could have some Autumn board books. I'll see what they've found!

Enjoy your days everyone.

Afternoon.

Beautiful day here today. We all wore light jackets but it was lovely and bright. Just so cheerful. I went to the field today with my three. I would have liked to stay longer, but a couple of them have to have early lunches before they fall asleep. I took a lentil dish out of the freezer for mindee's tea, but then I remembered he leaves at 4 today so doesn't have tea with us. Oh well, it will still be fine tomorrow.

That's nice for you Loocyloo, I bet they will be thrilled to have you back.

It was lovely to be back!

I had to answer innumerable questions about where ALL 'my' children were, whose mummy I am, what my 'real life' name is, ( didn't answer that, but with 3 ex mindees in class ... they told everyone anyway! ) and then .... I walked through the lunch hall at lunchtime! It was like being a celebrity   .... closest I'll ever get!

Lovely Loocyloo to be volunteering at school. I really miss helping out at my kids school, I used to help with forest school sessions which was fab. I would love to help out in their new school but I don't think they're having anyone in at the moment.

I've been pottering about in the garden and hoovering up all the dog hair! No kids on a Monday so I leave most of my cleaning until then.

Hope you got some nice books Mouse!

Our local school is not having volunteers in yet either as the cases are quite high locally.

One if my little ones was a bit under the weather today luckily they go home after lunch, all the little ones seem to have snotty noses at the moment. We spent the morning outside in the fresh air, the weather has been lovely here today, there were a few grey clouds earlier but they floated on by!
