I'm just checking that I have the correct Ofsted Parent poster...

What is the phone number on the latest poster please? I've got myself all confused with two different phone numbers. I have had a google, but wanted to double check with you guys.

Is it 0300 123 1231

OR

0300 123 466

OR

Something else?

Many thanks

As far as I know it's still this one. That's the one I've got so I hope it is!

0300 123 466 was the phone number for complaints, but I don't know if that's still the case.

Ahhh, that makes sense then Mouse - a general number for Ofsted and one for complaints.

Yes, that's the poster I also have up - I had it up at my last inspection which was under two years ago and I don't think it has changed since then.

when you phone 0300 123 1231 now, rather than getting a person answering the phone, you have a myriad of ' press this number ' options, and there is definitely a complaint option. ( i haven't pressed that one ) but all the others tell you what form/page you need to look at on the website and then say 'this ends the call ( or words to that effect ) please press ? if you'd like to listen to the information again' and then it cuts you off !!!!

( having a nightmare ( still ) with DDs DBS ... Capita say it is in hand, Ofsted keep asking for DBS info, and despite my ( and DD ) emailing several times, and my being told that they have her ref. number and the info that it is being processed on my file, Ofsted still keep asking. Having emailed again last week to say again it is in hand, i thought i might speak to someone ... no way of finding a real person, or even asking a real person to call back! I'm told that basically Ofsted are working from home, so hence all gone online! )

Gosh loocyloo, it's so frustrating that that is still going on for you. We are all far too busy to be chasing things up like that all the time.

I think there's always been a problem getting to speak to an actual person. During my last inspection (several years ago) the inspector needed to phone to confirm something. Even she struggled to get through to speak to anyone. I'd have thought they'd have a hotline, but apparently not!

i spoke to an ofsted inspector that i know, and she said it is a nightmare to speak to anyone!

she just said to keep emailing and therefore create a 'paper trail' which proves you've been doing it from your end, and that is Ofsted that are not!
