Happy 1st April! Has anyone pulled any pranks today?
After the lovely weather we've been having, it's cold and drizzly today. It doesn't even look like it'll brighten up later, which is a shame. It was glorious yesterday and I'd just assumed it would be the same today :laughing:
I break up for a week today so I've planned some fun Easter activities. We've got a treasure hunt in the garden, we're making chocolate cripsy cakes and we're having a picnic lunch (inside if it rains!) The children have also coloured Spring pictures which we're going to take to the post box and post home. The idea is that they get it as post next week and can tell their parents all about the picture. I've put a sheet in with ideas of age-appropriate questions and comments parents can use to prompt discussion. Great for encouraging speech & language development at home and exciting for them to get some post!
This evening I need to go to the shop to get goodies for our family Easter egg hunt on Sunday. I'm not quite sure who will be here, so I'll probably do the usual and buy way more than I need. We always end up losing some things in the garden anyway so it's best to have more than we actually need :D
